Lincoln Limestone (Basal)

Basal Lincoln Limestone is a member of the Greenhorn Limestone Formation. It was formed at the bottom of the Western Interior Seaway that covered the great plains of the Unites States and Canada approximately 95 million years ago. Fossils commonly found include marine reptiles and fish, examples of which can be found here.
