Exposures of the Two Medicine Formation can be found in northwestern Montana and southern Alberta, Canada. Fossilized remains found there are from the Campanian Stage of the Upper/Late Cretaceous period. Between 74 and 80 million years ago, dinosaurs such as hadrosaurs (duck-billed dinosaurs), Troodon, and Orodromeusand roamed this semi-arid land. It is famous for what is called Egg Mountain, a colonial Maiasaura nesting site.
